Neurocysticercosis with calcified cyst

Presentation

Presented with seizures and have a family history of brain tumors (Father and sister) both of who died. No signs of increased ICT or any other neurological deficits.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

Single dark lesion seen probably a calcified cyst.

Case Discussion

Previous MRI scans showed grey and white matter edema (Brain tumors show predominant white matter edema)

CT scanning showed a cyst.

Patient was followed through three years. No growth found.

Was diagnosed to have a calcified cyst.

Patient doing good with antiepileptics.
