Marked urinary bladder increased wall thickness and trabeculation are seen accompanied by multiple focal wall calcifications and some intraluminal stones. There are also several diverticula with maximum diameter of 48 mm. Foley catheter is inserted in appropriate position.
Case Discussion
Features on CT scan are most consistent with neurogenic bladder which is a term applied to a dysfunctional urinary bladder that results from an injury to the central or peripheral nerves that control and regulate urination.
