Case Discussion

MRI showed a 5 cm expansile mass in the left palatine tonsillar region that had no clear border or signal difference with the normal tonsillar tissue and enhanced mildy with Gd. The peripharyngeal tissues were displaced, not infiltrated. Lymphadenopathy of the submandibular and high jugular nodes was also present. A malignant B-cell lyphoma was secured by biopsy and treated successfully with chemotherapy.
