Case Discussion

Cystic hygroma refers to a cystic variety of congenital lymphangioma which, most commonly, occurs in the cervicofacial regions. It is usually associated with other congenital anomalies. It may be complicated by the development of non-immune hydrops fetalis which often indicates a poorer prognosis. Differential diagnosis of a cystic hygroma includes cervical teratoma, occipital encephalocele, and cervical meningocele.
