Presentation
Knee pain.
Patient Data
An eccentric, multiloculated lesion with a narrow zone of transition in the medial aspect of proximal metaphysis of the tibia, returning intermediate signal intensity on T1, high signal intensity on T2/ STIR with a low-intensity rim. It is measuring approximately 3x1.2x1cm in CC, AP and TR diameter. No periosteal reaction is noted. No adjacent soft tissue component is noted. Mild knee joint effusion is seen.
Case Discussion
The features are compatible with non-ossifying Fibroma. Non-ossifying fibromas are benign lesions appearing in second and third decade of life. They are usually eccentric around the metaphysis of the knee joint.
Dr. Mohammed Tahir Aien has also contributed to this case.
