Case contributed by Dr Vitalii Rogalskyi

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

CT knee

CT of knee demonstrates lucent lesion with a sclerotic rim located eccentrically in proximal diaphysis of right fibula. No cortical breach or periosteal reaction.

Knee joints are unremarkable.

Case Discussion

Typical CT appearance of non-ossifying fibroma. It is a benign metaphysical lesion, one of "do not touch" lesions. Initially, it located in the methaphysis but during bone growth, it migrates distally to diaphysis (as in our case).
