Normal anterior bronchus shadows

Case Discussion

The bronchi of the anterior segments of the upper lobes course mainly anteriorly in 50% of cases and are thus seen a ring shadows will little if any soft tissue laterally.

Presence of more than 5mm of soft tissue lateral to a visible bronchus has been termed the anterior bronchus sign.
