The contrast media normally opacifies the esophagus, stomach, duodenum and visualized jejeunal small bowel loops without definite mucosal irregularity, stricture formation, or filling defects.

Moderate left-sided pleural effusion is seen.

A note is made of metallic fixator with screws in left clavicle.

Case Discussion

Essentially normal barium meal study except of left-sided pleural effusion which could be the main cause of presenting complain.
