Lower lumbar back pain post motor vehicle accident. L4 tenderness. Fracture?
Patient Data
The lumbosacral spine is in anatomical alignment, with preserved disc and vertebral height. No anterior wedging of the vertebral bodies or splaying of the posterior elements identified to suggest the presence of a fracture. The sacroiliac joints define normally, with no widening identified. An intrauterine device is present.
Vertebral bodies have normal alignment and height, with no evidence of fractures. Facet joints are preserved. Intervertebral discs are preserved in appearances and no evidence of significant disc bulge or herniation are seen. The spinal canal and intervertebral foramina are capacious. Paravertebral soft tissues are normal in appearances.
