Case Discussion

This case demonstrates the normal appearance of the lumbar spine using a low-field MRI scanner in a young adult. For more examples of normal exams, please refer to the article on normal spine imaging examples.

Despite its low resolution compared to the state-of-art 1.5 T and 3.0 T MRI scanners, low-field MRI scanners (0.2-0.4 T) are popular in developing countries due to their low cost.
