The NG tube tip is satisfactorily positioned in a sub-diaphragmatic position.

Case Discussion

The correct positioning and identification of a nasogastric tube is an essential skill for all junior clinicians.

The tube should lie in a subdiaphragmatic position.

The commonest place of malposition is an endobronchial nasogastric tube in the right main bronchus.
