Family history of depression. No symptoms.

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Normal study, for reference, comprising standard sequences for possible neurodegenerative / neuropsychiatric disease assessment (as performed at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia). 

Case Discussion

MRI assessment of patients with suspected neurodegenerative process needs a methodical approach as many of the features are subtle. In many instances there are no 'pathognomonic' findings, but rather a constellation of features which push towards or away from a pre-test clinical differential.
