Case contributed by Ian Bickle
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Fall at home.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

No fracture or focal osseous lesion. Loss of femoral head-neck offset bilaterally (cam morphology) with a tiny left os acetabuli.

Case Discussion

There is cam morphology bilaterally, which is quite prevalent in the general population but symptomatic as femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) in a minority. Given the absence of FAIS symptoms, this can be a considered a normal adult pelvic x-ray.
