The endometrium is fairly homogeneously echogenic, and is thick, though within normal physiologic limits - measuring 12mm. The appearance is typical for the secretory phase of the menstrual cycle. It has a regular contour, with no evidence of an endometrial mass or distortion. A corpus luteum is present, as expected in the secretory menstrual phase.
Case Discussion
Typical, normal appearance in the secretory menstrual phase.
