Occipital horn syndrome

Presentation

Developmental delay. Clinical suspicion for "occipital horn syndrome". Any supportive imaging findings?

Patient Data

Age: 15 months
Gender: Male
MRI

Tortuous vessels. Dilated dural nerve sheaths. No aneurysms detected (Erhlers Danlos type 4 can present with tortuous vessels and aneurysms).

On FLAIR sequence, areas of hyperintensity in the subarachnoid spaces along the occipital lobe are due to hyperoxygenation (patient intubated).
