Case Discussion

The occipital sinus is the smallest of all cerebral dural venous sinuses. It can be seen in about 10% of the normal population. It may be unilateral, bilateral, solitary, duplicated, or composed of a mesh of venous collaterals.

It is usually associated with absent or hypoplastic transverse and sigmoid sinuses.
