Straightening of cervical lordosis due to muscle spasm.
Incidental finding of exaggerated occipital protuberance/ occipital spur - the patient is not tender at this point.
Case Discussion
The external occipital protuberance is a midline bony prominence in the occipital bone in which the ligamentum nuchae and trapezius muscle attach to its tip. When exaggerated it is called an occipital spur. It is usually an incidental finding.
