Ocular foreign body

Collision of an object with the right eye and eye pain and right side epiphora.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

A small dense foreign body penetrated within right eye anterior nasal uveo-scleral layer adjacent to medial rectus muscle tendon insertion and mild inflammatory changes within adjacent fat are seen. Exodeviation of the right eye is also noted.

Case Discussion

The ocular foreign body is an ophthalmology emergency and if not carefully managed can lead to endophthalmitis.
