Ocular foreign body

Presentation

Injury to right eye - 2 months back. Referred for radiograph - to check any metal dense foreign body.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

A small metallic foreign body is projected onto the eyeball.

ultrasound

A non-movable intra-ocular foreign body. The lens is intact and no retinal detachment.

Case Discussion

A metal density focus is noted in lateral radiograph as well as during ultrasound. The foreign body is not mobile. Few membranes are noted showing 'after movements'. No retinal detachment.
