Right side ocular blunt trauma and sudden right eye pain.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

Right eye cornea, lens, and uveo-scleral layer tears are seen and the ruptured eye appears like a parachute. Right side preseptal and lacrimal gland swelling are also noted.

Case Discussion

Ocular globe rupture is an emergency and needs urgent diagnosis and treatment because in some cases vision of the patient can be preserved. Some authors described the shape of the ruptured eye globe as a flat tire sign.
