Presentation

Collision of foreign body with the left eye and sudden blurred vision and eye pain.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Penetrated small dense foreign body within left eye globe lens lower pole. Note the tears in the left eye cornea and lens capsule. Also seen is soft tissue swelling of the left side lacrimal gland and preseptal, eyes exodeviation, and fluid and thick mucosa in frontal and ethmoid sinuses.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates the dense intralenticular foreign body and lens capsule and cornea tear. The ocular lens is not a common location for foreign bodies.
