Presentation
Facial trauma and sudden loss of vision and orbital pain.
Patient Data



The left eye anterior chamber, uveo-scleral layer, and lens tear with pronounced vitreous haemorrhage and foci of suprachoroidal haemorrhage are seen. Bilateral proptosis is noted.The foci of thick mucosa in paranasal sinuses more in left ethmoid and maxillary sinuses are seen. Pronounced soft tissue swelling and haemorrhage in left side eyelids extended within related temporal fossa are also seen.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates ocular globe rupture and vitreous haemorrhage as major and catastrophic complications of ocular trauma. Vitreous and choroidal damage have unfavourable prognosis and surgical outcomes.
