Presentation

Collision of firecracker with the right eye and blurred vision.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

There is right eye cornea and anterior uveo-scleral layer tear and partially dislocated lens within anterior vitreous and right side lacrimal gland and preseptal soft tissue swelling. There is also right eye proptosis.

Case Discussion

The case is a 50-year-old male who came to the emergency room due to a collision of firecracker with the right eye, non-contrast orbital MDCT requested, and right eye cornea tear and partially dislocated lens were detected. Eye globe tear is an emergency case and must be urgently managed and orbital MDCT for the evaluation of extension, complications, and accompanying bone fractures and or ocular foreign body is requested.
