Presentation
2 hour old neonate presented with excessive frothy secretion from mouth along with cyanosis
Patient Data

Tube coil is evident in the proximal esophageal pouch and failed to descend to the stomach. There is bowel gas in the visualized upper abdomen suggestive of distal tracheoesophageal fistula.
Case Discussion
Esophageal atresia is usually diagnosed by inserting a nasogastric tube through the nose or mouth which will coil in the proximal pouch.
In this case, the patient had clinical picture of esophageal atresia (excessive frothy secretion from mouth and cyanosis). A radiodense tube failed to reach the stomach and coiled in the proximal pouch.
