This is a pathology proved case of oesophagogastric adenocarcinoma that underwent oesophagogastrectomy and colonic interposition.

Rarely done upper gastrointestinal tract surgery, called colonic oesophageal interposition, replaces the oesophagus with the colon, usually when gastric pull up can not be done. The preferred replacement is the transverse colon with all or a portion of the ascending colon. The colon's haustra are visible on conventional radiographs, CT scans, and barium swallow images.
