Presentation

The patient underwent a chest x-ray as a follow-up for DCIS surgery 5 years ago (left QUART). Chest x-ray 3 years ago (not shown) negative.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Faint opacity projects over mid-lower left lung zone on PA view. No findings on the lateral view. 

PA view (with post-processing) with raised arms to displace the breast: an ovoidal image with calcified edges is clearly visible. Its projection on this view is on mid-upper left lung zone.

X-ray findings in keeping with a wall-calcified oil cyst (post-surgical fat necrosis).
