Oil cyst in left breast on chest radiograph

Case contributed by Stefano Pacifici

Patient undergone to chest x-ray as follow-up for DCIS surgery in 2006 (left QUART). 2008 chest x-ray (not shown) negative. In PA view is barely noticeable a faint opacity projected in middle-lower lung field, not visible on lateral view. A further projection with arms raised to displace the breasts shows that the opacity follows the left breast.. Asked for the last mammograms, not available (performed at another facility), the patient related complications(swellings) of the surgical wound during the first year after surgery.
