Presentation
Intramedullary nail fixation across fracture of ulna about 5 weeks back. Complaining of pain, swelling in the olecranon region.
Patient Data

There is a fluid collection with internal echoes in the subcutaneous plane of the posterior elbow. There is hypervascularity around the collection. About 16 mm length of the intramedullary nail is seen outside the cortex of the ulna in the olecranon region. The triceps tendon is normal. There is no elbow joint effusion. There is a reverberation artifact due to the intramedullary nail.
Case Discussion
Findings favor olecranon bursitis due to repetitive trauma caused by intramedullary nail tip.
