Swollen olecranon bursa with numerous T2 hypointense foci of internal debris are seen distributing within the effusion fluid, consistent with rice bodies.

Case Discussion

Rice bodies have been first described in tuberculous arthritis but may be found in rheumatoid arthritis, chronic synovitis, and chronic bursitis.
