There is lack of ossification at the olecranon fossa - a normal variant, called an olecranon foramen.
Case Discussion
Increased lucency in the distal humerus with no ossification at the olecranon fossa. This is a normal variant called an olecranon foramen and is the result of failure of ossification of the septum between the olecranon fossa and coranoid fossa.
