Olecranon fracture

Injury after falling onto elbow. Reduced range of motion.


Mildly displaced transverse fracture through the olecranon.

The posterior fat pad is also visible.

Case Discussion

Fracture of the olecranon. These injuries usually are not subtle (either clinically or radiologically!) and generally require open reduction internal fixation (ORIF).
