Presentation

Hits a pothole and falls off from electric scooter. Blow to the face and elbow.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Displaced fracture of the olecranon with approximately 2 cm diastasis between the fracture fragments. Swelling of the overlying soft tissues is noted with air in the posterior compartment of the arm.

Post-ORIF radiograph

x-ray

Internal fixation with two pins and wires with anatomical position of the fracture fragments. Interval resolution of soft tissue air in the posterior compartment of the arm.
