Febrile syndrome. History of recent left hemicolectomy with functional colostomy. Duodenojejunal anastomosis.
Patient Data
A CT scan shows a mass measuring 13 x 8 x 8 cm in its longitudinal, transverse and anteroposterior axis, which contains varying density areas of macroscopic fat and liquid density areas surrounded by a capsule and which has increased density and fatty striation. Postsurgical changes are observed of a partial resection of the small intestine with duodenojejunal anastomosis. No collections adjacent to the anastomosis or signs suggestive of a communication with the previously described mass. Postoperative changes of left hemicolectomy with colostomy left flank.
Case Discussion
Fat mass macroscopic density liquid on the left flank, associated with inflammatory changes in the fatty tissue, compatible with omental infarction. Postoperative changes of left hemicolectomy with functional colostomy and duodenojejunal anastomosis.
