The omphalomesenteric duct (also called the vitelline or vitellointestinal duct) communicating tract between the embryonic yolk sac and the primitive midgut.

Case Discussion

This duct obliterated 5-8th week of gestation. Omphalomesenteric duct anomalies include Meckel diverticulum, omphalomesenteric fistula, fibrous bands, cysts, omphalomesenteric sinus.
