Patient presented by trauma to the left hand with open wound at the ring finger.

Patient Data

Age: 10 years
Gender: Male

Fracture is seen at the epiphyseal plate of the distal phalanx of the ring finger with dorsal dislocation of the distal metaphysis, that representing Salter Harris fracture type I.

Case Discussion

This case shows the characteristic picture of  Salter Harris fracture type I, where, the epiphyseal line is the site of the fracture with intact epiphysis and metaphysis.
