Optic-chiasmatic pilocytic astrocytoma

Very large mixed density mass with peripheral calcification in the suprasellar cistern eroding the dorsum sellae, compressing the hypothalamus, midbrain and third ventricle, obstructing the foramina of Monro (drained on the right). Associated large middle cranial fossae arachnoid cysts.
Case Discussion
Appearances are typical for this condition but there is a differential diagnosis of craniopharyngioma
