Visual loss and discomfort in the left eye

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
mri

The left optic nerve is entrapped by the homogeneous, slightly hyperintense on T2WI tissue, which strongly enhances on T1+C fat saturated series. The globe, extraocular muscles, lacrimal gland and retrobulbar tissue are normal.

Case Discussion

The enhanced tumor surrounds the nonenhanced left optic nerve and results in Tram-track sign (orbit) on the axial images.
