Swelling of the retrobulbar intra-orbital segment of the left optic nerve of a high T2 and T2 fat sat signal with enhancement on postcontrast sequences well-demonstrated on axial and coronal T1 fat sequences. moderate flattening of the posterior sclera.
Normal appearance of the right optic nerve and optic chiasma.
No demyelinating lesions were seen at the infra or supratentorial level.
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and the MRI features are most consistent with left optic neuritis.
