Info

Right orbital floor blow-out fracture with prolapsed orbital fat and inferior rectus muscle into the maxillary sinus through the fracture gap. No associated medial or superior blow-out fractures were seen. Normal appearance of the other extraocular muscles, optic nerves and ocular globes. Extensive subgaleal haematoma containing numerous radiopaque foreign bodies.
Case Discussion
Orbital floor blow-out fractures are the most common. Orbital fat prolapses into the maxillary sinus and may be joined by prolapse of the inferior rectus muscle (as in this case).
