Orbital blowout fracture

Presentation

Raccoon eyes after fall on the head, persistent headache and right eye diplopia.

Patient Data

Age: 95 years
Gender: Female
ct

There is a comminuted fracture of the floor of the right orbit with inferior displacement of the fracture fragment. There is herniation of the intraorbital fat and the inferior rectus muscle which shows a focal thickening and increased density suggesting underlying injury.

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with a blowout fracture of the right orbit.
