Orbital blowout fracture - inferior wall

Presentation

Sustained a blow around the right orbit. Periorbital hematoma and pain upon eye movements .

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male

The depressed fracture of the floor of the right orbit is clearly visible, with resultant high density fluid (blood) in the maxillary sinus. The inferior rectus muscle appears slightly swollen, but there is no sign of further complication such as muscle entrapment/herniation into the sinus. 

Case Discussion

Typical presentation of inferior wall blowout fracture with associated mild swelling of the inferior rectus muscle but without muscle herniation.
