Orbital cavernous haemangioma

Presentation

Right axial non-pulsatile proptosis.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
MRI

2.7 x 1.9cm well defined T1 isointense/T2 hyperintense right intraconal lesion causing moderate-severe mass effect on the optic nerve and abutting the medial rectus muscle.

Avid patchy enhancement of the lesion most pronounced peripherally.

Normal left orbit.

Case Discussion

Appearances in most in keeping with an orbital cavernous haemangioma.
