Trauma with wire to the right eye, followed by swelling and proptosis.

Thickening and edema of preseptal orbital soft tissue on right side. Enlargement and hyperintensity of right lacrimal gland and lacrimal sac seen with fat stranding along right lateral and superior rectus muscles.
Mild edema of right medial and inferior rectus muscles is also seen.
Mild thickening and irregularity of right ocular wall is seen.
Hyperintensity and fat stranding seen in right intraconal space.
Mild hyperintensity is seen in and adjacent to intra-orbital segment of right optic nerve – optic neuropathy.
Subtle hypointensities are seen in right posterior chamber possibly related to vitreous hemorrhage which was seen on USG.
Left orbit and optic nerve are unremarkable.
Note is made of mild mucosal thickening in bilateral maxillary sinuses.
The case findings suggest the possibility of orbital and periorbital cellulitis with no obvious intracranial extension.
