Orbital dermoid cyst

Painless swelling of the medial aspect of the left orbit

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

There is a well-defined extraconal hypodense mass of fatty density (-120 HU) at the internal angular region of left orbit with no calcification or enhancement on postcontrast images.

Globes, optic nerves, and orbital muscles appear normal.

Case Discussion

CT features are most consistent with an orbital dermoid cyst.
