Presentation
Facial trauma and subsequent left orbital pain and the left eye limitation of motion.
Patient Data
The left orbital medial wall blow-out fracture with fat and medial rectus muscle herniation within the fracture gap, eyelids, inferonasal postseptal emphysema, and preseptal and lacrimal gland soft tissue swelling are seen.
Minimally penetrated fractured bone within the medial rectus muscle is also noted.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates the non-contrast MDCT features of orbital medial wall blow-out fracture with medial rectus muscle herniation within the fracture gap and penetrated fractured bone within the muscle.
