Left testicular pain for the last 3 days.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Left testis shows hypoechoic ill-defined area involving lower polar region with increased vascularity.

Left epididymis is normal.

Left sided fluid with echoes in tunical sac.

Increased thickness and echogenicity of left spermatic cord.

Right testis, epididymis and cord are normal.

Case Discussion

Orchitis is infection of the testicle, which may be isolated or in conjunction with the epididymis, termed epididymo-orchitis.
