Oropharyngeal non-Hodgkin lymphoma

Large right-sided oropharyngeal homogenously enhancing soft tissue mass lesion showing no degeneration or calcification
Histology (oropharyngeal biopsy)
The biopsy shows a malignant infiltrative lymphoma formed of large round cells existed in diffuse form displaying nuclear enlargement with coarsely clumped chromatin, focal prominent nucleoli.
The cells are positive for LCA, CD20cy, CD3.
Conclusion: malignant non-Hodgkin lymphoma - B cell type.
Case Discussion
Pathologically proven oro-pharyngeal non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Symmetrical lymphoid tissue normally exists in the nasopharynx, as in Waldeyer's ring, in which a primary lymphoma may develop. Other sites in the locality include the tonsils.
