Info

CT images demonstrate an extra ossicle known as os acromiale between the acromial process and the clavicle. Three-dimensional reconstructions have been shown to be of use.

conclusion:

Os acromiale (normal variant) with no radiological evidence of fracture.

Case Discussion

Os acromiale is a failure of fusion of the acromial process. It is usually asymptomatic and discovered incidentally as in our case, and should not be mistaken as a fracture.
