Presentation

Right shoulder pain and weakness - 2 mths. Clinical diagnosis - Cuff tear. Patient Referred for Sonography to check cuff status.

Modality: Ultrasound

Tear of supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons with 3 cm retraction falls under massive tear varienty. Tear of tendon results in loss of muscle belly function. This causes muscle atrophy and fatty infiltration. Just posterior to acromio-clavicular joint, ' another joint ' is noted
