Small well-corticated bony structures are seen between the distal portion of the metatarsal bones, bilaterally, compatible with sesamoids.
There are also bilateral os naviculare.
Case Discussion
Sesamoids are small focal areas of ossification within tendons as they pass over joints or occur in ligaments. Some of them form part of normal human anatomy (hallux sesamoid), while others are anatomical variants (other metatarsal sesamoids).
